The Extended HDMI Fiber Optic Pigtail Module allows for HDMI extension using a single-strand multimode fiber optic cable, featuring HDCP support. This extender can transmit HDMI signals up to 3300 feet (1000 meters) via a 50/125 µm multimode (OM2/OM3) SC-terminated fiber optic cable. It supports resolutions up to 1080p Full HD and provides lossless audio formats like LCPM 7.1 audio, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio.

Designed for optimal performance, the optical signal ensures galvanic isolation and immunity against electromagnetic interference, making it superior to traditional copper-based extension modules. The pigtail form factor of both the Sender and Receiver modules reduces strain and clutter around the source and display connectors, ensuring clean installations by allowing them to fit neatly behind equipment.

To set up, simply connect the Sender pigtail to the HDMI source, plug the Receiver pigtail into the HDTV display, and connect a compatible fiber optic cable between them. Power the Receiver module to enjoy a vibrant high-definition picture. Note: The Sender does not require external power unless the HDMI source cannot provide sufficient power.

Additionally, 62.5/125 µm (OM1) fiber can be used, but the maximum effective range will be reduced to 1000 feet (300 meters).
