The Veratron LinkUp Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS) Kit simplifies real-time battery monitoring, vital for starting engines and operating marine utilities. This innovative system integrates seamlessly with any OceanLink, AcquaLink, or NMEA 2000-networked display, ensuring compatibility with modern glass cockpit systems.

Included in the kit is the Veratron LinkUp Gateway Module, which connects the Intelligent Battery Sensor to the NMEA 2000 network. This setup features internal galvanic isolation to separate the backbone power from the LinkUp power supply, adhering to NMEA standards.

This sensor measures critical parameters such as voltage, current, and temperature, along with providing insights into battery state of charge, health, and function, empowering users to manage energy usage effectively and anticipate potential issues.

The IBS can monitor either a single battery or an entire battery bank, and additional LinkUp kits can be deployed for dedicated measurement of house, starter, and other system supply battery types. It is compatible with 12V starter, gel, or AGM batteries.

Installation is straightforward; the IBS clamps onto the negative pole terminal and features a watertight housing, complete with a 3A inline fuse. Connectivity to the NMEA 2000 backbone is facilitated through the LinkUp Gateway Module, enabling communication with multiple Veratron sensors.

With the Veratron app available on both the App Store and Google Play, configuring the LinkUp gateway is simple via a mobile device. Each module comes with a built-in passive wireless antenna, making parameter configuration quick and easy. Alternatively, users can set up LinkUp devices via NMEA 2000 using the PC Configuration Tool, which also allows for real-time analog signal readings, confirmed by an LED notification during the configuration process.
